Recently, a beautiful couple came to us looking for a Fire Performance for their big day at the stunning Luminare. The brief was a surprise fire show – their saxophonist was set to play ‘This Girl Is On Fire’ live during the reception, and they envisioned the emergence of chic and glamorous presenting fire performers as a WOW surprise moment for their guests. The bride and groom had been searching for fire artists that matched this specific vision, but had only been able to find festival style performers. During one of their consultations with the amazing wedding planning team at The Big Group, Aurora was recommended as the perfect supplier to match this aesthetic. The venue, Luminare, is already fire safe, but getting the staging right still took some coordination. The ceiling draping installation meant we had to work closely with the installer to make sure there was a clear 2.5 to 3 metre gap between our performers’ head height and the drapes. Not the kind of detail guests ever notice, but exactly the kind of thing that has to be right before a performance like this can happen at all. On the night, it landed exactly the way the couple hoped it would. The song played, the performers emerged, and the room completely lit up (excuse our pun). That’s the reaction we’re always chasing with a moment like this! We were absolutely delighted to receive these words from the bride afterword: ‘Struggled to find fire performers that suited our vibe for our wedding.
